Mosque and prayer hall interiors in Qatar

We design and execute mosque and prayer hall interiors with the spatial, technical and material requirements of worship considered from the outset. Qibla orientation, prayer-row geometry, acoustics, lighting, circulation and MEP requirements are resolved as part of the underlying design before the decorative language is developed.

Materials and architectural details are then introduced with restraint, allowing the interior to carry identity and dignity without compromising function.

Our work includes the Sheikh Sultan Al Thani Mosque at Umm Al Amad, delivered for the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

Design and technical coordination

A mosque interior is organised first around worship: the qibla direction, clear prayer rows, movement into and through the hall, and the relationship between the main architectural elements. Decorative decisions are developed within that framework.

Ceiling design, lighting, air-conditioning, speakers, access panels and other technical services must be coordinated so that they support the space without interrupting the visual order of the prayer hall.

From approved design to fit-out

Once the design direction is approved, drawings, dimensions, materials and specialist details are resolved before fabrication and installation. Carpets, joinery, gypsum work, lighting and architectural finishes are checked as part of one coordinated fit-out sequence, with site conditions verified before final installation.

Lagoon's published project experience includes the Sheikh Sultan Al Thani Mosque at Umm Al Amad, delivered for the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
